Eight billion people.
A few thousand voices.

The decisions that shape the world, what gets legislated, funded, built and normalised, are made by a cast small enough to fit in a stadium. Most of the world only ever reads second-hand accounts of what that cast said.

Nobody can fact-check eight billion people. A few thousand, you can. Because the world's decisions have a surprisingly small cast, a complete, verbatim, checkable record of what they actually said is not a dream of scale. It is an achievable project, and we are building it source by source: parliaments, the United Nations, and the world's long-form interviews, from 1946 to this week.

The rules do not bend. Verbatim only. Every line linked to its source. Translations marked as translations. No AI-generated quotes, and content that declares AI-generated audio is excluded at ingest. Where a speaker cannot be verified, the line is left out rather than guessed.

YouSaid is the record of what was said, for the eight billion who were not in the room.
