“Felt like the rents came every three or four days, and it was painful for me to watch. I wanted to like slow down time. And I remember as an 11, 12 year old boy going down to my knees and saying, you know, dear God, can you slow down time for my mom? And number two, if I ever get an opportunity to trade places with a landlord, I will.”
