“Well, I would say to that, you know, judge me on what I do, it doesn't matter what background you came from. I mean, I acknowledge, of course, I was incredibly privileged, mostly because of the love, it's obviously a theme, I'm afraid to say, Nick, the love in my family, but also a privilege of wealth, that's true.”
“I don't think that that is, I don't know what their plan is, obviously, because I'm not connected to that group particularly. But I think that anybody thinking about a new leader would be wise to think again because a new leader would not change the maths at all of what can and can't get through Parliament.”
“You pay in less. It's freedom of workers rather than freedom of movement. Quite frankly, you'll find most MPs will say, you know, how do we get through this? Now, I don't want to be irresponsible because nobody wants to do anything that is going to damage their economy. But our constituents want us to do other stuff.”
“Yes, yes. Rob misleading. Exactly. I mean, unfortunately, I was told certain things which turned out not to be true. And even at the time when I resigned, I was still being told it's unlikely that we have illegally deported anybody. And a week later, the new Home Secretary announced that we had 64.”
