Chris Nassetta reads as The Architect because Hilton today is a structure he drew and built deliberately over nearly two decades. Arriving after Blackstone's 2007 acquisition, he restructured the operating model from the inside out, expanded the brand portfolio with precision, and orchestrated one of the most successful hotel IPOs in history.
“Connected to that, it can be super powerful along with a lot of granular things. So if you're saying, you know, we're the best, you know, we may have a huge difference in people's lives and our team members' lives and the experience they're having is terrible, then it doesn't work, right? It's not authentic.”
“Ground it back in basically what you do matters, right? No matter what you do as part of Hilton, managed or franchised in that in those years we own stuff. Your work matters, and if you do your work really well, and we all do our work really well, it's going to aggregate up.”
“Yeah, well, I mean, it's funny, all my kids are 22 to 32, so they're most of them out, you know, they're all out of their house. Most of them out of the city. I only have one that lives in the, I live in the Washington DC area in Northern Virginia. Only one is there. But when they were growing up, I loved to cook.”
