The Architect
Structured and legacy-driven; builds the systems and institutions that last.

“So it's a spot that I love, it's sadly a spot I've not been able to really undertake this year for obvious reasons, but hopefully one that I can give back to relatively soon. “Who work within it where the average age is nothing like 59, I would say it is more like, I don't know, certainly under 40, if not 35. So the type of interaction with that business might have with a younger client base where there was a confluence of age maybe very beneficial.”
“Probably a bit more physical endurance than I sometimes think that I have though my body, whenever I go kite-saving, comes back with sort of blooded and bruised or just totally physically exhausted.”
“James Place has gone from a billion and a half pounds to 5 billion pounds and into the FTSE. And what was your role in that evolution? Well, I think it was a number of things, Simon. Firstly, what I wanted to do was try and support the development of an investment team inside St. James's place.”
