But let me just interrupt to say I completely agree with you. I think that, one, it was a fascinating education, and you're exactly right, because these folks were in charge and there was nothing you really could do to them. And so they were often happy to brag about their arrangements.

Well, I've seen it throughout my whole career. The first, as a grown-up, the first political campaign I really covered was Ronald Reagan in 1980. I covered him in the general election, and then I covered six years of him in the White House.

Yeah, I know exactly. Well, you have to fight off the Velociraptors to get it. But the television news business, and this is really interesting. Politics, Fox News got bigger audiences on election night, got bigger audiences for the Republican Convention than NBC did.
