“Well, the interesting thing is, so I made a point, and you're quite right, I represent the most remain constituency in the country. No escort or higher remain vote than Stretham other than Gibraltar. So I made a point in the summer of twenty sixteen of going and spending time in some leave constituencies.”
“I think the truth is we don't know, and what I am clear about is that if the country wants to change its mind, ultimately that has to be a decision of the British people.”
“Not much else. Yeah, yeah. He literally had no money when he arrived. I always remember him telling me this story because me and my sister were like kind of sitting down going, what? You really had no money. And he traveled from Liverpool down to London where he had lodgings with friends who had already settled here.”
“Yeah, the traditional leaders in my village of Abunka in southeastern Nigeria and an Ambra state, you know, generally they were drawn from my family and we are Ibos. But equally, I have this Irish background and Irish family and maybe it doesn't surprise people that I'm such a Romaniac as it was. And also very English.”
