Darren Palmer is The Catalyst engineering deliberate cultural ignition inside a legacy institution. At Ford, he hand-selected talent, imported startup DNA from California, and inverted the leadership hierarchy so that his job is clearing obstacles rather than issuing directives.
“You get tweets from coffee. What else do you need? The answer is what do you need? You get it, and they've never worked like that in Ford. And then the fourth day, what do you need? Nothing. Just leave us alone. Okay. Fifth day, what do you need something else? And so on. We just kept doing that. And then we created no presentations.”
