“Now you were Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, so I'm no doubt you've followed the whole Rwanda debate with a lot of interest. First of all, could you have voted for the stuff that they've done in Rwanda?”
“We're talking about as the headline was the McSweeney Project. I think you've got to be very, very careful. I mean, I fell victim for this. So did others, where as part of trying to undermine the leader, people forget, because Tony Blair won three elections and is seen as such a big figure now.”
“And where's that in his thinking? And look, I don't underestimate how unbelievably difficult this is, politically for him, for Biden, for Lincoln, for the government here, for Keir Starmer, for all world leaders. This is becoming really, really difficult. The politics are very, very difficult.”
“In a political speech, apart from all the bits that are political, which were basically saying Keir Starm's, you know, the country wouldn't be safe. But I just find with Sunak, and he's out again today talking about food security.”
