“And he was out in California. And I went to see him in his office, and I said, this is what I'm thinking about. And he said, really? And I said, yes. And I said, you know, I want to run a grassroots campaign, and I understand you're the guru.”
“We haven't been willing to compete. We've kind of taken it for granted that they were red states or Republican states or Republican districts. And we've kind of stepped away and said that's theirs and we'll go pay attention to what's ours. And these are states where there are great candidates.”

“Particularly young people like my daughter's age who graduated into the recession and saw what the excesses of capitalism produced is completely unrestrained short-termism and an unwillingness to think beyond the bottom line most narrowly defined. And in some ways impact investing is a response to that.”
