Gary Gensler
The Reformer
Changing the system from inside it, principle turned into change.
Gary Gensler reads as The Reformer, a designation that fits the temperament he displayed in conversation on The David Rubenstein Show. As former SEC chair, his instinct runs toward scrutiny of systems rather than acceptance of them, treating existing rules as provisional and improvable.
“When it's just you and me, our shows are wacky, bro. So I want to play this real quick. So, Gary Gensler, seen here hyping up ICOs to his MIT class. And I don't have the post handy, but there was an ICO a long time ago named Endor. And it was a predictions model that actually had Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano on the team.”
“And why at this point in time, which I believe was back in 2018, 2018, was he saying that three quarters of the market was not a security? Because at this point, he had not been inside the SEC. He had been inside the CFTC. He had been working on that side of things.”
“Lot of it's used for mortgages, student loans, car payments, like adjustable rate mortgages, tons of financial products. There were two bar clays employees that had a plan to manipulate the LIBER, right? Which could have huge financial upside maybe for them, I'm assuming if they were willing to manipulate it.”
“Is Like what I do, I have these keto shakes, and they're just literally like 20 grams of fat in a chocolate shake, and they're delicious. And you have to eat high fat, otherwise your body's going to get hungry. You have to feel it with something. An eat between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and stop. And you're basically on a 20 hour a day fast.”
