“No, I got in the draft. It took 10 minutes to become 1A. Literally drive down to Houston, you put everything but your underwear on, they look at you, okay, you're in. That was basically it.”
“Yeah, the editor comes there, got to get Bush's response. So she comes and says, do you hear what Trump called you? And I said, no. And I said, well, I can't tell it. I can't tell you what he said. Well, how can I respond if you can't tell me? We went back and forth. The press corps is laughing.”
“Or even for public universities have dismal results as well, and they're subsidized by the taxpayers, and there should be some accountability there. That's probably done better at the state level. You can do that better. Florida has a really good example of that where they reward schools that improve their graduation rates.”
“I think so, but it's kind of a part of the reason that I left I wanted to get out for my dead shadow. Let me think about it. The shadow doesn't end in the Houston City limits. It was kind of a stupid idea at the time.”
