Jennifer Thomas is Global Head of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the London Stock Exchange Group, where she leads inclusion strategy across one of the world's most consequential pieces of financial markets infrastructure. She brings more than 25 years spanning communications, culture and inclusion, and before her current mandate she led communications across the group's Data and Analytics division.
“Don't mean to sound like a broken record, the power of five, absolutely, first and foremost. I always say, What is your network look like? Who are you talking to? What kind of conversations are you having? And again, asking, Kathleen, you made the comment about like just asking, asking the question.”
“Oh, yeah. So when we look at investing. I always like to say be wary of your every Tower syndrome. Where are you spending your money or the pyramid, right? Like ivory tower syndrome is a lot of, let me look from the top down at what's going on.”
“I'm not saying don't be emotional at work or don't cry at work. That's not what I because I've done both. I've definitely been on the extreme side of it. Again, comes back to that protect your energy. Where is your sombre? It's on an airplane all the time.”
“And so it's like where tell me the success again, women we don't celebrate things, we just don't. We go, we get, my husband called a go mode. I get into go mode. So I even stopped deliberately. I say, tell me something good today. Tell me something good that happened today.”
