“I did that for six months. It was like Cinderella, David. I would come in during the week. I was the newsroom secretary. And then they would send me an Atlanta department store to pick out a decent address because I dress like a college student still. Something to wear on the air on Sunday nights at 11 o'clock.”

“Weather girl, the news director. I had kept pestering him to let me go out and hang out with the reporters and the camera crews, and his answer was, well, why would you want to do that? We already have a woman reporter. We got past that, but he came up to me one day and he said, I've just fired our weekend weather girl.”
