“In terms of African American, I think that people have finally recognized the role that African American women have played in the party. 88% of black women voted for Hillary. And we have been the backbone. And I think that would be recognized. But if he doesn't, he doesn't. He just doesn't. That's it.”
“They did not want me involved in politics at all. They were terrified of it. And you know, a really sad thing is that I remember when I was young, my parents preparing us that Martin Luther King would not survive. I remember that.”
“Did early on And to me, I view that very differently because the reason I started community coalition, the other reason was because people in the community was demanding law enforcement. They were demanding a solution. The National Guard bring in anything.”
“Well, I liked healthcare. I mean, as somebody that wanted to change the world, it's nice to also be able to help an individual. And so healthcare is a great way to do it. As a matter of fact, what I focused on was emergency medicine, which is helping people in crisis right at the spot.”
