“Absolutely. I had my mother had two brothers who married two sisters. And she was one of the sisters. And her son, Tere, she had one son. He was around two or three when she died. It was almost raised like a brother with me.”
“It's not, but also keeping in mind that we're listening to a confessed murderer. So we don't have to take it all with a grain of salt. But we can't ignore the fact that there were Asian women who seemed to have been targeted, these Asian massage pollers.”
“And as his career began to taper off, he still had a family. And I now know my dad did have addiction issues. I think he struggled with on and off throughout his life. So when I was eight, we had moved out of the home that I was born in. I now know we lost that house in a foreclosure.”
“I think it was probably a combination, and I grew up in a household where you didn't talk about what happened in your household. It was always a lesson what happens in this house stays in this house. And I was ashamed. At that point, I didn't know anybody else's dad who had gone to prison. And everything about our lives changed.”
