And it was wonderful having him. I quit my job at City Hall because that was the right thing to do. So I resigned so that I could campaign full-time. And we campaigned.”
“New chief of staff. And I go with Senator Bob Menendez, and we argue for prosecutorial discretion. You know, President Obama's first response was he wasn't a king, he wasn't a dictator, he couldn't just do it all by himself. We continue to say, yes, you can do these things.”
“Democrats have to be consistent. You know, if this were defunding planned parenthood, we wouldn't even have a question of Democrats sitting down and negotiating for that budget. If this were to eliminate same-sex marriage, we wouldn't have a conversation as Democrats whether we were going to vote for that budget.”

Because I remember him telling me, he says, at the meeting with the activists, you are going to sit next to me, Louise. I said, I will move from that chair. Anyways, I told him, yes.”
