“Run for the Senate? Well, I just felt like to get things done at the scale that we're talking about, the Senate was not conducive to it. My second term has been a lot better. I think it's been helpful to have an administration of my own party, people that I know there and still retain the majority in the House and Senate.”
“Well, I think every effort so far has failed, and I fear that this issue to deal with the kids is going to fail as well. Because if Chuck Schumer's position becomes, we're not going to pass any law. Part of it, I think, is the president made a commitment to President G to take care of this situation and now he feels he needs to live up to it. And I respect it.”
