“I mean, I talked to this rabbi who told me that he'd met Bergoglio in the slums of Argentina and then he saw him multiple times and one time he was washing people's feet. And I said, oh, you mean on holy Thursday, you know, the celebration recreating what Jesus did. He said, no, no, this was just during the week.”

I mean, you know, and he lost the two elections he ran in, so he ran for vice president in 1972 and got crushed, and then he ran in 76 and lost pretty quickly in the presidential primaries that, you know, obviously Jimmy Carter eventually won. But I don't think that he then said, you know, he never whined about it.”
“So I frankly think if I had won that race and I would never have had the relationship I had with my kids, my wife, and my parents, I would never have written the book on my pop. I would never have had the opportunity to write this book on the Pope. And those experiences have changed me in the way I look at things.”
“Yeah, Ethel Kennedy, sorry. Yeah, Bobby's Kennedy's wife. Every time I see her, how are you doing? I'm great. And I'm like, sometimes, you know, she's got to have aches and pain. She's, I don't know, almost 90 or something. I don't know how old she is. I'm great every day.”
