Yeah, so my father was actually in Hong Kong when I was born in mainland China. His warm to Hong Kong in late 70s because there was prefaced famine in mainland China. His village didn't really have food for people to survive. So the only way for them to get alive is to travel across the rivers that separate Hong Kong from China.

Two months before the implementation of the National Security Law, we heard about the government was going to propose a law like that. We didn't know about the details at the beginning. But when the time goes in early or in mid-June, we finally knew that it was such a draconian law that our freedom of speech will be curtailed severely.

When I was trying to leave Hong Kong, I had worries that whether my name was blacklist, whether they would block me from leaving in the airport. But eventually it didn't happen. And I was lucky because my passport was not confiscated. I was not arrested by the time because of protest-related cases.
