Seimone Augustus is The Guardian, a leader who treats individual achievement as communal inheritance. She represented Louisiana at every camp, played through ACL adversity without recasting it as personal triumph, and found her jersey retirement most meaningful because elders who once could not enter LSU's arena wept at the ceremony.
“If it's the first and the last time somebody gonna see a baller from Louisiana, then I want them to remember me. We got a lot of heart, we got a lot of determination, and we're gonna bring that out.”
