That's right. Yeah, I went to work there and I thought I would be sort of supervising stories about the Clinton fundraising scandals and Al Gore and no controlling legal authority. But it was actually one week later. I started there in January of 1998.

That's a good question. My dad wanted to be a reporter more than anything, but my grandfather, the one I just mentioned, insisted that he go to law school. And so he went to law school, and I think he practiced law for about six months at most right before I was born.

The decision to get nuclear weapons out of the former Soviet countries that they were essentially left behind in. And that included Ukraine. It included Kazakhstan.

Yet my father and my grandfather love politics. They had different visions of politics. My dad was not an unreconstructed New Dealer. And as I recall, had plenty of disagreements with my grandfather.
