“And then didn't love it, but was working in baseball, and that's all that mattered. But I befriended the general manager, Kevin Towers, who at the time was a new young general manager there. And we hit it off. He was married, and I was single and 21 right out of college, so he was kind of living vicariously through me a little bit.”
