She belonged to one of the first families to settle in our region in the 1970s. In 1983, Ms. Seaman founded the Ville Laval Black Community Association to build a network of solidarity and foster intercultural exchange. Over time, she even became an ambassador who connected francophone and anglophone Black communities. Today the House of Commons acknowledges Ms. Seaman's resilience, courage and legacy—”
