2. “However, the Department of Labor has never produced definitive guidance. Instead, DOL began a national enforcement project targeting ESOPs. Rather than tell the ESOP community how to value the stock, DOL used legal actions and settlements to guide ESOP stock purchases in a practice that stockholders call regulation by litigation. The bipartisan Retire Through Ownership Act provides valuation guidelines to ESOPs and will bring an end to over 50 years of uncertainty. This legislation is long overdue, and it is a long overdue course correction that will help ensure more Americans can pursue ESOPs and do so with confidence so they can enjoy a secure retirement. I have been proud to lead this bill during the 119th Congress, and I thank the ESOP Association for working tirelessly with my staff and me to advance this commonsense solution. Mr.”

He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Army of Occupation Ribbon, Victory Ribbon, and three Overseas Service Bars. After discharge, this battle-tested veteran earned a degree in forestry, met the love of his life, and joined the U.S. Forest Service where he worked for 35 memorable years. When we speak of the Greatest Generation, we are speaking of American heroes like Jack Welsh. My wife, Robin, and I wish him the happiest of birthdays. ____________________”

When you read Judges, God appointed judges to bring about rule and obedience among Israel because, every time that a judge passed on, Israel turned from God. Every time they turned from God, they were attacked. In fact, it was so bad that the Mennonites actually hid in caves in the hills. Every time, they cried out to God. Of course, we are reading about Gideon this week. Yet, the one thing that, I think, captures our faith is a story I heard on Easter Sunday from our pastor in our church, and that is the story of the crucifixion. After the crucifixion, there were 11 disciples who went away, and they feared for their lives. In fact, they hid in a room. Resurrection was 3 days later.”
