Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life of my constituent Sergeant Jose Duenez, Jr. Sergeant Duenez was described by his family as someone who always wanted to protect people. He enlisted right after high school and served with his whole heart. His family said: ``It is like it was in him to be a hero,'' and that is exactly what he was, an extraordinary hero.”
