By the end of that five-pack, I was going through teacher training and becoming a spin instructor. I started to spin out of And through into my healing. Okay?   14. “Fast forward a couple years later, a couple years later, actually a lot of years later, I met the love of my life Jerome Davis, who's somewhere here, Jerome Davis. And we got married, had two kids. And after my second baby, I was struggling with postpartum depression. It was trying to suffocate me. It was trying to take my life. And Jerome went to work early, early one morning. And when he came home, I was still in the same position on the couch. I had one baby on my boob breastfeeding, another one in my lap, taking a nap, and I was just, I felt like I was drowning. And he came home and he said, babe, you are an encourager. You were created to encourage. There was a Yogan spin studio down the street and I went in and I talked to the owner and she's waiting for you. She's waiting for you. I literally got up that day, went in.”

  15. “And right before I got married, I had retired from running. I was super gifted and talented in track and field. I was ranked in the top 25 in the world at 100 meters. And I said, you know what? I'm going to hang that up and do this marriage thing Going through a divorce, I moved back in with my parents, and I was living in their basement, and they called me up. One day, and my dad looked at me and he said, baby girl, it's time for you to run to your healing. You gotta run to your healing. So he found me a track coach again, and I started to run and trained for the Olympics, ended up making it to the Olympic trials. I didn't make the Olympic team. But the purpose wasn't for me to make the team. The purpose was for me to heal. Running took me to my healing.”

  16. “Just a year and a half after being married, and I was devastated going through this divorce. I was devastated. I was embarrassed. I felt shame. And I didn't know how to navigate it. At that time, my father was managing the Chicago White Sox, and there was a little bit of limelight around him. And I was married to a baseball player.   17. “So for me, my intention has always been to be all that I was created, to be, to be all that I was intended to be. That was always my intention to just answer the call on my life. I wasn't motivated by much of anything else, but to be everything that I was intended to be. So when I was a little girl, I would dance. I would dance in church. I would dance during praise and worship. And what I realized was This dancing was warfare. I was using my body, my actions. Align with my intention and to fight for who I was intended to be. This movement became warfare. That was the first time that I realized that about my body. The second time, the second time as a young adult, I was married. I was married as a teenager.
