  8. “Well, good days, bad days, we aren't Terrible racism at the time when I was growing up I was born in fifty seven so in the sixties it wasn't good we were the only black family on our estate so anything happened the police would come knocking on our door take our dad away and he'd have to get cleared and come home and the old process would start again it's that black family there and were causing all the problems and occasionally not all the time my dad liked a bet so he would on a Thursday when he got painted they got paid in cash and then brown envelopes would occasionally go to the bookies and so on we'd end up Struggling for food, so it's clouded in those ways. I'm looking through those clouds now, but thinking it didn't do me any harm, but it happened, you know.”
