And so for me, this is something that is personal to me and it means a lot to me and it's something that's been on my mind for a really, really long time. 2. “And unfortunately, as many people across the continent know, Africans are not necessarily appreciated for who they individually are, what their experiences are, what their history actually is, and what brought them to their present. It's far easier to lump us all together as one and assume that we all have the same shared experiences, the same knowledge, the same outcomes, the same futures that were helpless in changing our own personal destinies. What really motivated me was trying to get across the idea that this is a place of all kinds of experiences, all kinds of personalities, all kinds of motivations. And to start with, you know, I think of my own family, like many Nigerian families, we were big, we're wild, there are so many different personalities, so many different motivations.”
