So I went everywhere with him and rode along in the car with him for interviews. And it was always fascinating. I always learned something. He was professorial, he was philosophical. But I also noticed the contrast if Pataki would come out, talk to the reporters for about five minutes, answer a few questions, and say he wanted to bring the death penalty back and cut taxes, and then he would leave no matter what the questions were.
