“I think what I realized in reading that book was that it is a requirement in parenting to be willing to be uncomfortable in order to allow your child to grow. It's a requirement to ask yourself what you need to do better for them, not what they need to do better for you. And I'm watching my own parents in this moment, my father especially. You know, when you ask my dad about the book, he says, It's not the book I would have written, right? Right, I very much understand and respect, but he also says he's so proud of me and he supports me and he understands why I had to write this book.
