“Yes, I think, you know, that's not complicated question, but for me. I always found myself being the Trojan horse. I always looked at myself as like the guy who could infiltrate and kind of keep the door open, you know, and kind of open it up as much as I can. So there was a time right after Fruitville Station where I only wanted to go out for roles that was written for white males, you know, called Caucasian Males. I didn't want anything in the breakdown. If it came up as African American, I didn't want to do it because I felt like there was a certain bias, you know, from writers that were writing from what they experienced or what they saw as a media. You know, they never really had contact with black and brown people. So they were writing from their experiences, which came with a certain bias.”
