  1. Was a credit-oriented fund that specialized in primarily high yield and bank loans. And so my background, since it was more of like a trading and options background, I wasn't quite sure where I was going to fit in. Within the first, I don't know, six months or so digging into the micro fundamentals of credit analysis, I honed in on the convertible asset class because I felt that it was a very misunderstood asset class wedged in between the interests of equity holders and the interests of credit holders. And also you had to understand optionality, right? So I basically created a business within a business there, created this convertible ARB structure ARB type of business.

So, I guess I started my career in the world of macro, and then I decided that because my undergraduate background was in electrical engineering, computer science, I never had a finance background, I felt that there must be more to the world of finance than commodities. So I wanted to go back and get a formal training in finance. And so I went to business school, graduated in 97 and joined a hedge fund called Canyon Capital, Canyon Partners in Beverly Hills at the time.   3. Sure. Yeah, thank you for the intro. So I guess I started my career at Goldman Sachs in the J. Aaron currencies and commodities group. So, you know, I traded the GSCI, the Goldman Sachs Commodity Index when it was a very, very nascent product. This was in the early 90s. And so because it was a nascent product for us to make markets in, the way we had to really add value was to be familiar at least, have a working familiarity with all of the underlying 22 different commodities and always have a proprietary view. Much of that view was technical trading views, but informed by macro fundamentals, right?
