“I've been worried about over the last couple of years with the sharp rise in interest rates and the economy's adjustment to that of more of a death by a thousand cuts. Because when interest rates jumped at the fastest pace in 40 years, not everyone is impacted by that all at once. It all depends on when your loan was coming due. And that on top of the cumulative rise in inflation, I do think that we're beginning to really see economy rolling over to growth rate at best one and a half percent type activity with threats that it's even weaker than that. The debate of recession or recession, it's actually, you know, somewhat nuanced because if you look at the behavior of lower to middle income consumers, they're essentially in their own recession. If you look at manufacturing, it's in a recession.”
