“It does. It does. I guess it's safe to say I took a bit of a circuitous route to the world of finance. Grew up in South Philly and started actually in engineering. I have an electrical engineering degree, which was a great degree to go into in 1986 when I started and not a great degree when I graduated in 1991 into a recession. I was always a big student of finance and investing in between my engineering classes. I was reading things like one up on Wall Street by Peter Lynch and reading about Warren Buffett. So I always had a love for investing. And over the course of, I guess, sort of the first 10 years of my career, I moved from engineering to High tech recruiting and then eventually into working with the venture funds who were building those high tech firms, which led me into the world of investing over time.”
