My Minister said this morning that the pursuit of accountability and justice cannot be linked to political expediency. To ask Pakistan to reflect on that is perhaps asking too much, but the least it could do is not sully the dignity of the Security Council. Today we are discussing how to strengthen accountability and justice for serious violations of international law.
