  3. “We must establish a special tribunal to address the crime of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, and if international organizations can stand up for justice half as firmly as Ukraine stands for universal values, peace will prevail and justice will prevail. Russia’s war on Ukraine is having consequences that reach far beyond Europe. Ukraine is one of the major exporters of wheat, corn and sunflower oil. We should make it very clear that the current food shortages around the world are due to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and blockade of Ukrainian ports, not the internationally imposed sanctions.”

  5. “I have the honour to deliver this statement on behalf of the Baltic States — Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The major reason we are meeting today is because a permanent member of the Security Council, Russia, is openly threatening security and the rules-based global order, the very cause that the Security Council was created for. Just a year ago, Russia was sowing lies and distrust. Now it is sowing chaos and death. Day after day Russia defies the principles of the United Nations and has already become a synonym for brutality, State-run terrorism and genocide. At this very moment, the international community cannot and should not turn away. Yesterday we all woke up to one more attempt by Putin to escalate aggression.”
