  4. “Although there have been some problems with the stabilization process in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, when it comes to achieving peace in the Central African Republic and South Sudan we believe there can be positive developments if the international community can exert firm pressure and intervene appropriately, and if all stakeholders take the political negotiations seriously and fairly and respect all agreements made. We believe that through constructive dialogue and joint measures, we can take into account the legitimate concerns and interests of all parties involved and find just and lasting solutions. This meeting is being held in a complex international context that calls for special attention and serious intervention on the part of the international community if an effective solution is to be found to conflicts that pose grave threats to international peace and security. We commend the fact that resolving conflicts in Africa is a focus both for the United Nations and for various political institutions and entities dedicated to peace, solidarity and the common good and united in their efforts to eradicate such conflicts.”
