Consequently, Burundi advocates financial support for the humanitarian response plan for the Central African Republic launched in February 2023, and calls in particular for direct support for refugees and local host communities. Burundi welcomes the progress made in implementing the Luanda process and the Political Agreement for Peace and Reconciliation in the Central African Republic, as well as the Central African Government’s success in disbanding nine armed groups in 2022 and 2023.”
