  3. “The international conference on Afghanistan held in Tashkent on 26 July, with the participation of many key countries of the world, is a testimony to the important role of that country regarding the future development, stability and peace of the region. We welcome the decision of the Taliban leadership to ban opium-poppy cultivation and drug production. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan expresses its concerns over the terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and conveys its condolences to the families of the victims, including those in front of the Russian Embassy in Kabul. We reaffirm the importance of countering terrorism in Afghanistan and ensuring that its territory is not used as a platform or haven by any terrorist group or organization.”

Kyrgyzstan expresses solidarity with the international community in overcoming the humanitarian crisis and stabilizing the situation in Afghanistan. At the same time, we extend our support to the United Nations personnel in Afghanistan, who, despite all the challenges, continue to carry out the noble mission of supporting the Afghan people at this critical time. Despite the temporary shift in the priorities of the global agenda due to the conflict in Ukraine, the issue of Afghanistan remains relevant at the international and regional levels.”
