So, where are we going? And I think that's still kind of unclear. But I think one thing that is not unclear is that this fight for the working class American is well underway. And that is the pitched battle that both parties are in right now. And I think that's what this book is about. How do you reach those people?

I think it is an acceleration of the craziness of the first term. It's like, obviously, they had a lot of time to think about this stuff. They learn from their mistakes. And so a lot of things that are happening now are things that they wanted to do then, but they couldn't because they couldn't figure out the government.

Yeah, I mean, look, Jesse Jackson and Obama actually politically, to be honest, don't have a huge amount in common. So It's not about so much about that because I think Obama is way more centrist than Jesse Jackson was. However, I also think Jesse Jackson sort of left-wing politics of the 80s actually became kind of centrist in the 20s.

Totally. There's a lot of drama. I mean, that's the truths personally, I think, are very fraught. And I get into this in the book, that when he ran for president, he did not have many endorsements, even from black elected officials. In fact, he had none in 1984. And in 1988, he had a few more.
