  1. I think, first of all, next step is two things. You know, I want the user to realize that Zoom is a workplace collaboration platform. It's more than just video conferencing. That's one thing. Another thing is the Zoom AI Company. It's already there. And this is great and features very accurate and no additional cost. I think any user got to embrace more and more of those AI features, right? You know, we already have a lot of features already rolled out, but we are going to roll out more and more AI features there. I think more and more customers, if they are embracing those features, they will realize, wow, they never thought about this feature, never thought about that feature. Guess what? That's the innovation.

  2. The way I look at this for any new technology, in particular for all those revolutionary technology, is this human nature. You have to focus on those early adopters, improve the technology, better and better everyday until they become a mainstream service, right? On D1, if you're a new technology, you cannot assume every ordinary users or families or companies, they are going to embrace that. If that's your assumption, I think that's not right. You have to focus on early adopters. That's it for any new technology, new features, that's it. But gradually you make the technology better and let the entire user base embrace that. I think that's reality for every new technology. AI is no exception. That's the reason why we feel very comfortable. I think especially for all those innovators, I think they also feel comfortable. We cannot always think about, hey, I have this very cool feature.

  3. I think, first of all, in order, you know, we need to make sure we have more than 8,000 people. Make sure all the internal Zoomies, they use that. They feel comfortable. And also we pick up some of the early adopters, roll out those features to them. They also feel comfortable. And then we have a global rollout. Go through a sort of release process, but more conservative than before for any AI features here. Our release and the principle always be conservative be responsible.

  4. Think today features like a created video of myself recorded a video. I do not understand I want to have a record a video just every time I know I recorded by myself and some of technology like hey you just sent me a few minutes video and down the road I just you know send a script automatically generate a video right I think for now I think we're also working on that feature as well but I do not feel comfortable yet you know because still sometimes you know also created some you know a potential you know privacy issues right we have to fix that so

  5. All right, so here's the flip side of that question. What's an AI feature you've seen maybe you have developed or someone else developed that you would not feel comfortable using at Zoom to do Zoom's work?

  6. Oh, busy Friday, or something like that. You just type some keywords generally a meaningful AI virtual background. And before release, we found something, as you said, some of the potential issues, we know that our customer feel comfortable. Guess what? We hold that. And we test more, we fix that until we feel very, very comfortable, until we feel the customer, they are not going to have any issues in terms of privacy, security, or hallucination, so on and so forth, then we are going to release.

  7. Like last year, and you know, almost a year now. The first feature we announced is AI companion feature is the meeting summary. And so we tested it. And when we found some particular issues, we say let's hold reason that of customers. And also when we raise the customers, by default it's still off. You know, enterprise account IT element. They need to take on this feature. They feel comfortable and then give it to customer. That's one thing. I give another example, but just reasoning example. Suppose in our meeting class, you know, workplace $6 release, we have a very cool feature. I play around. I really like it, which is to leverage AI to generate the virtual background. Today, you know, for every different meeting, I can use a different virtual background. I need to pick it up. It's just a type happy Monday.

  8. Sharing a feedback bag, put it on. And when we released our customers, we also take a very responsible approach, meaning for some AI features, by default will be off, only until the enterprise IT, they test the features, they feel comfortable, they can enable. For sure, that will slow down the adoption of those AI features, but we might take a different approach for the online buyers, for account enemy. We might have taken some features on by default, right? We look at it from different segment and perspective, make sure all they can choose enterprise account IT enemy have control. In the user, you also have a control as well. The group also have a control, right? And also plus our internal test. We are taking a very responsible approach.

  10. Talking about dog fooding your own product, right? We can't build tools for hybrid workplaces unless we have a hybrid workplace. There's risk with AI. Like no one knows how it's going to work. We've talked a lot about those risks. We talked a lot about some of the wild opportunities that might be presented. As you roll out more and more AI features, part of dog fooding them will be accepting the risk in Zoom's own business. Have you thought about that balance? Like how much risk of an unproven AI tool you yourself will be willing to accept?

And after the words, you and I already know each other very well for the future interactions, we can go online, right? Also, they must say, first time we met in person, the future conversation will go online. And also want to meet in person maybe once or twice a year because we have so many employees living in RA, you know, and also in Florida, in Texas, right? Let's say joining the call, if you and I have a one-time in-person meeting with intimate interaction, it'll be much faster to build a trust. That's the second reason. That's only probably unique to Zoom because of the two reasons. We have to support hybrid work. We never told our employee back in the office five days. Only two days

If you already have employees, you already know each other, right? For a while, I think you do not need to go back to office. But here is we have way more than the existing employees in terms of newly hiding employees, 6,000 versus 2,000. When you have so many new employees, how to accelerate?

Make sure build a better product to deliver happiness to our customers, right? We have to eat our own dog food. A lot of our customers, this is for the hybrid work. One or two days in office, you know, rest of time at home. When our customers, when they embrace hybrid work, we build a lot of features to support hybrid work. Guess what? If you do not support hybrid work, we are not eating our own dog food. In particular, when customers visit us, they say, Eric, show me all those features, how you support the hybrid work, one feature like reserve desk, right? And when we show those features, the customer also ask us, hey, how do you use that internally? Of our employees work from home five days.

  15. You're so right on. That's the reason why AI is a for uncertainties. But in reality, it will happen, right? Whenever I treat, you know, using my custom area, you know, have multiple digital twins, right? My friend also trusts that. That works for sure. There's some side effect. How to make sure technology, right? Let's leverage all the distributing computing technology, AI technology, AI technology. Crypto technology, that's the reason why in the next 10 or 20 years, it's more exciting than the past 20 years.

  16. I think in the face of Zoom interface, however, how to manage that is very different. That's the reason why I like this, you know, the crypto technology, right? It's more like a fully distributed. I do not think you are going to store the digital twin of yourself to our server. You will store somewhere you feel very safe. Likely maybe you're on your phone. On your desktop, and maybe summer you trust more like today, where you store your Bitcoin, right? You know, something like that. I do not think you give your digital tune to each of the window. You zoom, you put a zoom, use other service for the other service. I do not think that's architecture.

The second thing your digital twins, multiple range digital twins, they will be different based on your training, right? You know, one digital twin is really more like a sales expert. Another digital twin of yourself, more like an engineer expert, right? Again, you manage that. The second thing is whenever you send a digital twin of yourself to join any others, any other meetings, any other digital context, other side of we knew that you will be, you know, given all the AI based authentication. They know that's one of the digital twins of Nilly. One of the diesel twins of ERK, we know that too.

If the vision is I have a digital twin that goes to a Zoom meeting and makes a decision, you need to deep fake me, you need to make a realistic render of me that can go act in those situations. And then on the other side, you need to detect it. Where is your investment bigger? On the creating the digital twin or detecting the digital twin?

When you think about the big vision, which I'm still my mind is blown that this is your big vision, but when you think about the big vision of I'm going to send a digital twin into a meeting and it's going to make decisions on my behalf that everyone trusts that everyone agrees on and everyone acts upon, the privacy risk there is even higher. The security surface there becomes even more ripe for attack, right? If you can hack into my Zoom and get my digital twin to go do stuff on my behalf, whoa, that's a big problem. How do you think about managing that over time as you build towards that vision?

Customers are going to enable that for sure, especially for very large enterprise customers, they are going through the internal audit to make sure whenever they turn on the AI feature from any of the vendors, we make sure they pass their internal security privacy. They look at our AI stack, look at our policy, look at our commitment, look at our terms of services. They feel very comfortable.

  25. Think first of all when Ada Comps in AI, you have to be responsible, accountable, right? That's why we are the first company in the video conferencing industry. Last year, we made a commitment. We do not use any of our customers' data to train our own large language model as well as third-party language model. We already made that commitment. And however, not AI is a new era, right? You know, you also need to tell a customer educate customer, what does that mean? You know, in case customers do not understand. They thought, oh, we might be using, you know, for some customer, they want to operate in to help us to tune the data. No, that's not the case. Even customer, they want to opt in. We say, no, we do not need that. That's a very responsible approach. And we already made that commitment. So that's the reason why customer today look at our AI combined feature. More than 700,000 accounts already enabled that.

  26. Yeah, so first of all, look at our workplace. This is the open platform. We never wanted to tell customer, you have to use everything from Zoo. That's not like that. Not like our competitors. The competitor, they push customer, you have to use everything from their solution. You look at our workplace. That's not the case. You can deploy the Zoom team chat or you can use Slack or Teams. That's okay too. You can use our whiteboard. You can use others variable. We'll also integrate very well. It's open platform. We are not forcing customers to use everything from our workplace. Very different to convert to our competitors. They sort of a false customer, you have to use that.

  27. You look up at Tim and Chat. We have that on day one. Unfortunately, we did not have marketed well, as Simon asked. But it's not something hey, later on we added services rebounded. This is a feature from DWA. That's why I think another thing is look at a meeting scheduler, right? For sure, there are some small competitors. Two things. First of all, constantly can buy the meeting scheduler, right? Separately. The second thing when they bond you, right? The price is fair. It's not like offer a very, very low price, right? The third thing is look at any of our services, not like our competitiveness. They are sort of, you know, they are the only one or two players. And they're already dominating in that space. Look at email calendar, right? So you have no choice. That's not a case. You look at our services. You even look at our call with the conferencing. You have so many players. No one has like more than 60% market issue, right? But you got other services is very different. So I do not think we have that unfair.

For those companies, CIO IE team, they deep dive to analyze the total cost of ownership. First of all, look at the Zoom. Support costs are much lower, right? Second thing, look at AI. We offer the Zoom AI company to pay the customers. Guess what? at no additional cost. Look at our component. $30 per user per month. What do you do about it? But out of my control, however, we always look at everything from an end user perspective. You know, I put those customers in two buckets. One is cause the number one. I do not care about employee experience. I do not care about the best bridge of service. Cause number one, whatever the solution I deploy, regardless employee like it or not, just deploy, that's one category. Another category, a lot of companies, you look at the Senegalese companies, the employee experience is really important. The number important thing. You have a happy employees, you have a happy customers, right? For those companies, they always look at deploying the best breed service. Make sure employee like it, which is the double down on those customers.

You built an application to solve that problem, you've now grown it into this company, you have big ambitions about where to go next. The insight now is much bigger, right? The insight now that you're describing is based on there's a fundamental shift in computing coming. There's a fundamental shift in our culture coming that will accept this kind of AI in the world. The future is really about... Personalized area. Essentially, every one of us, we have multiple words of my ARMs. Every enterprise will also have their own ARM as well. That's the future. I do not think all of us will share the same, exactly the same RM dynamic any sense. But we can, but not dynamic in any sense.
