“The EIB Group is Europe's biggest venture capital financer in that sense and we are joining forces with the private sector, also with very small companies, for example, in advancing 3D scanning technologies in Luxembourg, advanced lighting solutions with venture debt in Austria, green hydrogen in Germany and cancer vaccine research in Denmark. So with TechEU, we aim to be bigger, faster and simpler than previous programmes, with larger tickets reducing delivery time and cutting down red tape for small and medium‑sized enterprises. Housing was mentioned by many of you, and affordable and sustainable housing is a top priority for us, as it is for the rapporteur, as he mentioned, and so many of you.”
“Europe lacks the scale‑up financing to turn ideas into global champions, into unicorns, and TechEU is our contribution to European competitiveness and, as Mr Gotink already said, we want to support deep tech, AI, semiconductors and digital infrastructure. The first wave of the new TechEU platform, mobilising EUR 250 billion in investment by 2027, is focused on clean tech, which will lead to cheaper energy prices, to grid components manufacturers and to power purchase agreements by energy intensive industry. And beyond clean tech, TechEU has one key objective: supporting Europe's innovators so that they can scale up here in the EU and stay.”
“To ensure Europe's strategic autonomy, we are already financing about 40 % of ongoing projects to reinforce our grids, our interconnectors, including transmission network upgrades in several Member States, from Greece to Poland and from Belgium to Slovenia. For example, two weeks ago, we signed EUR 1.6 billion in financing the underwater electricity interconnector between Spain and France that will strengthen Europe's grid. Making the green transition a European success will need investment in infrastructure but also clean tech leadership. This year marks another leap forward. This primarily benefits small and medium‑sized enterprises in that area. We are optimistic about the outlook.”

Οι μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις, οι αγρότες, οι αυτοαπασχολούμενοι βρίσκουν τις πόρτες της μονίμως κλειστές. Η Τράπεζα μιλά για στήριξη στις μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις, αλλά τα κεφάλαια περνούν από εμπορικές τράπεζες που επιλέγουν τους μεγαλοπελάτες τους χωρίς διαφάνεια και τελικά καταλήγουν στους ίδιους λίγους. Οι διαδικασίες της είναι κομμένες και ραμμένες για τους μεγάλους παίκτες και για κρατικές δομές κρατών, κυρίως ανεπτυγμένων, με ισχυρό τραπεζικό σύστημα, δηλαδή τεχνικά κριτήρια, τεκμηρίωση, συμβατότητα με ESG πρότυπα. Όλα αυτά δεν μπορούν να ακουμπήσουν τους μικρομεσαίους.”

“Κυρία Πρόεδρε, πίσω από την πράσινη μετάβαση κρύβεται μια βιομηχανία που σαρώνει βουνά, δάση και χωριά για να στήσει αιολικά και φωτοβολταϊκά πάρκα ιδιωτών, υπηρετώντας το κέρδος τους —χωρίς δημόσιο σχέδιο, χωρίς περιορισμό στον αριθμό αδειών, εντελώς άναρχα. Στην Ελλάδα, ξεριζώνονται κορυφογραμμές σε περιοχές Natura, ξεριζώνονται δάση και διανοίγονται δρόμοι για ανεμογεννήτριες που δεν υπηρετούν ούτε την ενεργειακή αυτάρκεια ούτε τους πολίτες. Αντιθέτως, κόβουν το ρεύμα στους αγρότες. Η πράσινη ανάπτυξη που υπερασπίζομαι υπηρετεί τους ανθρώπους, τα ζώα, τη βιοποικιλότητα. Όχι το ξεπούλημα κάθε φυσικού πόρου. Ζητώ τον αποκλεισμό των ανανεώσιμων πηγών ενέργειας από ευαίσθητα οικοσυστήματα και εφαρμογή του κανονισμού (ΕΕ) 2024/1999 για την αποκατάσταση της φύσης.”

“The rule of law report is designed to support Member States in addressing challenges or weaknesses in their systems, and no Member State is perfect, but at the same time, in critical situations, the Commission is ready to use all the tools available in the rule of law toolbox, including infringement proceedings and action under the conditionality mechanism where the EU budget is concerned to ensure that the rule of law is upheld across our Union. I would encourage all of the Member States, as I do in my bilateral discussions with them, to see the rule of law report as an opportunity to avail of the expertise of the European Commission. The rule of law report represents the objective assessment of the Commission on a country-by-country basis.”

Η κυβέρνηση Μητσοτάκη ελέγχει τη Δικαιοσύνη διορίζοντας την ηγεσία των ανωτάτων δικαστηρίων, ενώ παρεμβαίνει ανοικτά και κουκουλώνει υποθέσεις, όπως το κρατικό έγκλημα στα Τέμπη —ακόμη και με παρεμβάσεις της αστυνομίας στον τόπο του εγκλήματος, για να εξαφανίσει τεκμήρια και ευθύνες. Ελέγχει τα μέσα μαζικής ενημέρωσης και χρηματοδοτεί ολιγάρχες με δημόσιο χρήμα, οι οποίοι με τη σειρά τους ελέγχουν την ενημέρωση, την εικόνα, την κοινωνική συναίνεση. Μοιράζει ευρωπαϊκά κονδύλια σε μια κλειστή κάστα, όπως με το σκάνδαλο ΟΠΕΚΕΠΕ και τη σύμβαση 747 για τα τρένα. Δημόσιο χρήμα χωρίς λογοδοσία, με απευθείας αναθέσεις. Επικρατεί ατιμωρησία. “Κύριε Πρόεδρε, η Επιτροπή Αναφορών αποτελεί το βασικό θεσμικό βήμα μέσω του οποίου οι Ευρωπαίοι πολίτες εκφράζουν τις αγωνίες, τις ανησυχίες και τα προβλήματά τους. Ο ρόλος μας είναι ξεκάθαρος: να υπερασπιζόμαστε και να προωθούμε τα δικαιώματά τους χωρίς εκπτώσεις. Είναι απογοητευτικό ότι μια δεξιά-ακροδεξιά συμμαχία εντός της επιτροπής δρα για να κλείνει αναφορές που ενοχλούν τις δεξιές κυβερνήσεις. Επίσης, είναι απογοητευτικό το γεγονός ότι η πλειοψηφία των κρατών μελών επιλέγει συστηματικά να μην απαντά στα ερωτήματα που τους τίθενται από αυτήν την επιτροπή. Η λογοδοσία προς τους πολίτες δεν μπορεί να είναι επιλεκτική. Πρέπει να είναι καθολική και χωρίς υπεκφυγές.”
“Χρειαζόμαστε δεσμευτικούς κανονισμούς. Κάθε επιχείρηση να διασφαλίζει την ψυχική υγεία των εργαζομένων της. Πρέπει να νομοθετήσουμε για δουλειά με δικαιώματα, οκτάωρο-πενθήμερο- 40ωρο, για την αξιοπρέπεια, τη ζωή των πολιτών στην καθημερινότητά τους. 1-0341-0000”
“Κύριε Πρόεδρε, η ψυχική υγεία στην εργασία είναι ένα μεγάλο πρόβλημα της εποχής μας. Στην Ελλάδα χιλιάδες εργαζόμενοι γυρίζουν σπίτι κάθε μέρα εξουθενωμένοι, αγχωμένοι, φοβισμένοι. Δεν είναι τυχαίο, είναι το αποτέλεσμα μιας πολιτικής που τσακίζει τον εργαζόμενο στο όνομα της ανταγωνιστικότητας. Η κυβέρνηση Μητσοτάκη με τις επιλογές της επιβαρύνει συνειδητά την ψυχική υγεία, καταργεί ελέγχους, διαλύει τα ωράρια με εξαήμερο-εντεκάωρο, νομιμοποιεί την εργοδοτική αυθαιρεσία. Δεν είναι απλώς αδιάφοροι, είναι επικίνδυνοι. Βάζουν τα κέρδη πάνω από τον άνθρωπο. Το Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο δεν μπορεί να μείνει απαθές. Η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση οφείλει να αντιμετωπίζει κυβερνήσεις που λειτουργούν σαν προέκταση των συμφερόντων του κεφαλαίου. Δεν γίνεται να μιλάμε για ευρωπαϊκές αξίες και την ίδια ώρα να σιωπούμε μπροστά στην κοινωνική καταστροφή.”

“Following the landmark judgement of the Court of Justice on Malta's investor citizenship programme, such schemes will soon be a thing of the past in the EU. And President, I do want to take the opportunity just to thank all of the officials who have been involved in this case for a number of years, in particular the legal service and the officials in the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers as well. We appreciate their work over that period of time. When transposing the 2024 directive on the definition of criminal offences and penalties for the violation of Union restrictive measures, the Commission expects Member States to pay particular attention to the mechanisms for granting nationality and residence, in order to prevent individuals subject to EU sanctions from using those mechanisms for violating sanctions.”

European citizenship is not for sale. The primacy of EU law is unequivocal and must be accepted by all Member States. I believe I have been fair, and I have acknowledged the response of the Maltese Government to the Court of Justice judgment, and now we look forward to them fully complying with this judgment as soon as possible.”

Και στην Ελλάδα η χρυσή βίζα έχει γίνει εργαλείο real estate φούσκας. Αγοράζεις σπίτι, αποκτάς άδεια παραμονής και πρόσβαση στη Σένγκεν. Κίνα, Τουρκία, Λίβανος, Ιράν, Ισραήλ είναι οι κυριότερες χώρες προέλευσης. Το 2024 σημειώθηκε ρεκόρ αιτήσεων: 9.289. Το αποτέλεσμα; Οι τιμές κατοικίας εκτοξεύονται, οι νέοι δεν μπορούν να νοικιάσουν, οι κάτοικοι διώχνονται από τις πόλεις τους. Ποιος ελέγχει ποιοι αγοράζουν και με ποια χρήματα; Ποιος προστατεύει το δικαίωμα στη στέγη; Η Ευρώπη δεν μπορεί να παραμένει σιωπηλή. Χρειαζόμαστε κοινό ευρωπαϊκό πλαίσιο, απαγόρευση αυτών των καθεστώτων και απόλυτη διαφάνεια. Η Ευρώπη δεν είναι προς πώληση. Ούτε τα σπίτια μας πωλούνται, ούτε οι χώρες μας.”
“This shared concern is exactly why the Polish Presidency has made food security one of the main priorities for this half of the year. Thank you for your contributions, which we have duly noted. “A major issue, in my view, is the unresolved relationship with Cyprus and Türkiye's problematic involvement in the Middle East. Unlike the European Union, Türkiye does not consider Hamas a terrorist organisation, which raises legitimate questions and concerns. Many of Türkiye's recent actions have unfortunately drifted away from European values. I believe this debate will benefit from a politically and diplomatically grounded discussion.
